    Default anyone catching tog at yorkspit this year?

    just wonder if anyone is catch tog at the spit? if not the closet place? back river? is that reef producing? and i am sure CBBT is good right?

    Not sure if the spit has beenhitting this year or not, but you could always try the Poquoson River reef as well. Its fairly new so it might now have enough growth yet to harbour fish, but it wont be too long now. Give it a try and let me know how ya do

    where is it located from the spit? i been to back river not poq. yellow bouy i take it. would it say prr on it?

    I poked around the PR a week ago and couldn't find much..... it's rather small ( i think) and probably too new to hold togs

    Tryed the PR this past weekend, i think its cleaner than my shower. Way to new, iam told it takes 2 years or so before the big boys move in. its close to home so iam gona fish it as long as the wind blows, gotta feeling thats my new hang out for now

    nobody told me where poq ref is located from the spit or bbr? is bbr hitting? i used to catch togs when i was younger on old net poles in mathews. i mean none stop like croaker almost.2-3lbs mostly. some bigger. i was ;like 2 miles off shore. so i know it doesnt take much to hold them sometimes. used fidlers

    Poquoson river reef is just Northeast of the #4 Poquoson river channel marker. They didn't start putting strucuture on it until last year. IMO it might start to pick up this fall.

    The PR reef just got a delivery of some concrete "reef balls" a couple weeks back so it is still being created. Wouldn't expect much for a couple years. Not sure if the Mobjack reef is any better either. Best bet is the CBBT.
