looking for a place to fish

hey fellow fishermen, just moved to the gates county area and looking for a place for me and my son to fish. we havent got to fish since summer of 07. also from shore or dock would help as we dont have a boat yet.

The NC Wildlife Ramp (Shoup's Landing) on the Chowan just off 158 Bridge would be a good place. There are areas where people fish from the shore and a pier where the old bridge used to be. Also, just across the river from Shoup's, is Winton. There is a public access area with a pier that people go to fish. Hope this helps.
