    Question Lowrance GPS/Fishfinder ?

Does anyone know of a electronics shop in the area or a person that works on these units. I have a 332c and I am having a problem with the power button. It turns on fine but will not turn off or adjust the brightness of the display. The problem is obviously in that button. It works both functions on/hold for off and push for brightness while the unit is on. Im just trying to avoid sending it out and hoping to get it fixed quickly.

Don't know of any choice except sending to Lowrance for service. They have a flat rate service and will most likely send you an exchange unit, a new model if they
don't have any 332's left in stock.

flat rate is a preset charge to fix or replace the unit. you would have to call and ask, and get a "RA" number to ship it to Lowrance.
I got an out of warrently gps module replaced for $89. retail would have been around $200. Just give them a call, I don't know there rates.

around 10 days after they receive it. you can follow the progress on there website with the ra number they give you.
Sometimes the telephone wait can take some time, 20 minutes or so. Have also had them pickup as soon as I called.
A very helpful person to talk to is Linda Colt, but most all the service reps I have talked to are very good.
The last person I know who sent a 332 in for service received a new lms520 in exchange. I sent in a globalmap 9200c
in for a very minor problem and received a new one, just last month(It was under warrenty).
Sending it in is you best bet, I have never found anyone locally that works on these.
What ever you get back(your old unit, a refurb, or a updated model) will have a warrenty, six months I think.

I have the Lowrance 334 which is the internal GPS model of the 332. I was having some problems with my unit. Call Lowrance technical support. They will issue you an RMA number to return the unit to them. For around $200.00 they will send back to you a new/refurbished up to date unit or something equivalent to what you sent them back to you in about 10 days.

Yes, I know it's "crap". But apparently Lowrance thinks that we all love spending $800.00 on a GPS/Sonar unit and giving them an extra $200 every 2 years to fix their crap.

Before you send your unit back or call them, try doing a "soft" reboot of the unit. Check your manual, but I think you do this by holding the power and menu button when you turn the unit back on. If that doesn't work, back up all your data on a spare SD card and do a "hard" reboot. You may also want to make sure that your software is up to date by checking on the Lowrance website. But all that being said, it sounds like you have a hardware issue that needs to be repaired by Lowrance. Try the above, you might get lucky.

I have the Lowrance paperwork sitting in front of me now. You're right on - it's a 180 day, sorry I gave you crap the first time warranty.

    Default thanx guys

As always this board is a "reel gem". Between all of us there is an answer to almost anything to do with boats fishing or pieces of **** fish finder. As always tight lines.
