Alright amigo's who's gonna be the northern committee boat????

Hey fellas it looks as of now we will be fishing well south of you guys and out of radio range. As Clancy is on the flats today and this is probably the last thing on his mind does anyone want to volunteer to be the northern committee boat tommorrow?? It would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry but as "Committe Boat" and therefore as "Committee Chair", one is responsible for staying in range for all to hail. Seriously, its kinda like saying "We're in charge but don't want to be there or take responsibility".

Technically, the rest of us could say "Well Clancy never checked in before 9am, so they aren't in the tourny", since you'll be 'out-of-range'. And what happens when 2 people call in fish of the same size? The "Committee Boat" is the one that is supposed to keep track and rule on ties.

So your captain is responsible for being both the northern and southern committe boats.

I am being absolutely serious about this.

........So there you have it his cell will be in range and we will be there by 2. I was just throwin it out there as a courtesy if anyone wanted to use the VHF but as I will also be on that boat my cell will also be on at (410) 279-0427...

ok so when I call a fish caught at 7am on the VHF, I guess I'll also consider myself to be a "committee boat" and therefore deem myself the winner. And when you guys show up and claim you caught yours at 0645, well too bad b/c noone else heard you.

Oh, I guess I better call in and say that Lost Sailor is fishing tomorrow.
