    Default Orange Construction Fencing

    Hey Guys -

I may have a line on some used orange protective fencing for the July event.

Before he'll commit, the donor would like to know how many feet we think we'll need. He also asked about how we planned to put it up and noted that we'll probably need some stakes too.

If possible, could someone get back to me with an estimate on how many feet we think we'll need ?

    Thanks,
    Mark

Sorry Mark I didn't realize you posted this here I only got the email notice on the PM...

    Guys....here's what I shot Mark...

......200 should work....400 would definitely work....plan on a green steel post every 30' and a fiberglass post every 30'
I'm sure there are better ideas on the posts.

I'll have a layout out together soon. I can't funtion without lists or site plans....sorry it's a trade thing

The last time I saw this used the post were ten feet apart, and the fencing was very flimsy, and I know it is by nature of it's made of a soft vinyl material...........we should find a way to make it more strudy, otherwise the people will just walk over it.

I would think that we need 200-300-feet, and about 30-40 stakes for it, the stakes will be more costly than the fencing..........home depot sells the fencing for $29.00 for a 100-ft. roll of it. The steaks are about 4- each.

If they would donate 300-400 feet- that would be great .

every 15' works on the posts, 10' is better...alternating steel and glass has worked for me in the past too. They take about 3-4 zip ties per post, 11" ones. It doesn't flop as long as it's pulled tight before zip tie-ing.

Is SSSP going to allow the stakes in the ground ??

I use about 2-3 dozen of the metal ones a year at teh office. I'll grab some stock for me that you can use at SSSP. I'll end up using and dr-ing them out though the year.
