    Default White Perch on Hacketts

The White Perch are starting to school on Hacketts bar.We got into them due west of the green can- about 150 feet away.Water depth was 18-20 feet on a shell bottom.Used bloodworms and anchored the boat. The guys drifting did not seem to get many. Most of the Perch were small-some were just right to live line with . Biggest was about 9 inches.Had a few double headers- that tells me they are thick.

Perch fishing is a great way to get kids interested in fishing and Hacketts is only 3 miles south from Sandy Point ramp.

Skip; since you didn't mention it; I guess there were no spot among those perch. Also, have you heard of anyone using fishbites or is the water still too cold (I've never used their new cold water bites). 5th (Marty)

Had one Spot hit my bait- no mistaking the rapid fire hits but I missed hooking it.

I like real bloodworms right now.In a few weeks Fish Bites will work just as good.
