Reports from the M&M are plenty of slot fish(18-28), largest reported 36". (Sorry for heading should read "Stripers")
Chunking fresh bunker on fish finding rigs or 3ways. Outgoing tied has produced the best.
Boats reporting catching over 60 fish in a 4 hr period. Some large croaker reported up to 2 1/2 lbs, using same bait. Overall the past few weeks at the M&M as made for a cheap and productive fishing trip.

The secret is out...
That 36" fish was caught on a live croaker. To catch outside the slot you really need to fish live bait there. In the last 2 weeks I've caught my share of 31" fish out there on cut bait. I might add, if you don't want croaker and some of the people I fish with don't, fish the bunker heads.
My 36, 34.5, and 32.5 were caught on fresh bunker. Bite wasn't great yesterday because the wind kicked up, but we've caught more than our fair share in the past week. All have been in the 24-36 inch range. Only 2 fish out of around 60 have had sores. Use the heads if you want a big fish.....

Not a M&M fishing report
It seems to me you have to bail alot of small fish <28" before you get to a +32" fish using cut bunker. Live bait just ups your odds and keeps the smaller ones off. That's my opinion at least. Rcareymichael those are some nice fish you are catching there. For this time of year you are doing better than me and the charter captains that fish there every week.
For everyone reading this, we are talking about the James River Bridge and not the M&M. There are just croakers and oyster toads at the M&M. OK Kevin...

Stripers
RCM,
I have seen only a couple (out of 100) fish with sores, but keep in mind the water is still fairly cool and the warm water triggers these sores to show up and grow larger.

Kevin & RCM,
I have actually seen more fish with sores this year than last. If I had to guess 1 out of 50. Some of them big fish. Could be bluefish hits. I don't know. My last report "Stripers, croakers, flies and a final drum roll" has a 28" striper in a picture with a giant gash/infection near it's gill cover. I have been giving away the fish I have caught to the people I'm with. Nobody has died from a fish disease yet...
