Default The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly....

Started at he 150 just over the 100 fathoms in the middle of the two tones. Worked them for awhile to no avail. Water temp in the am was around 67-69. Pushed out over the 500 fathom looking for nicer water. Just found scattered grass that appeared to be trying to line up by the end of the day. Went by a poly ball and picked up a small gaffer. Worked back inside to 100 and 50 fathoms and worked our way down the line. Water temp now is 68-71. Heard of two boats inside the 100 fathom at the 115 with two tunas a piece. Worked back up to the area and pounded it for the rest of the day. Had some big marks down at 180 ft., but only managed one bailer dolphin. Called it at 2:30 and cranked em up. Soon as we got the riggers up an lines in a white fins through the prop wash about 30 yards behind the boat. Put some dinks out and nothing. We had about 8 boats spread from the 380 to 000's. Not many fish were caught. Hopefully something will change for the weekend. You won't see me back out there. What a frustrating day of fishing...........Oh yeah our lunch was the best thing going for us........

Not the report I was hoping for appreciate putting it up. I'm still going tomorrow but now I don't have confidence in my gameplan. Dues are paid... you'll slaughter them next time.

Phew-I told the kid at the dock not to fuel me when I got back because that would be the final insult for yesterday. Good seeing you out there again Kelly and Calvin-we'll get 'em. Dave

Man, sorry to hear this...I don't know how much more of this I can take. Flounder fishing sucks...offshore showing little promise, it's June 7th and it's 100 degrees, my boat is having fuel issues (more money) and gas is headed to 5 bucks a gallon...

    Someone make it stop! :)

I plan on targeting some CObia soon. Let me know if you're interested.

We were right there with you Kelly on the 36 ft. Contender, damn tough day...did you guys come across that anchored pallet with the balloons? Excuse my ignorance if that is a permanent 'landmark' We accidentally hooked it on a turn, was able to free the rig turning back into it, but that pallet was definitely at anchor...you guys are the experts, is that legal for someone to add structure like that? Is that a marker of some kind?

    Kelly,

things will pick up soon. I should be ready to run with you again real soon. We're finishing up putting two new engines in the boat. Sea trial is scheduled for tomorrow.
