    Default Sunday Cigar YFT Report

Left Lynnhaven Inlet with brother Bob (Seminar) and brother Chris (gottheblues) headed to the Cigar. Flat calm run out, and started a little NE of the Cigar with several charter boats.

At 8:30am all seven clips pop, and there is a school of YFT right behind the boat. Two YFT on, and we free spool and gig, and hook up two more. Tuna are attacking the teasers, and it's mass confusion with four fish hooked up, and only three anglers. Finally get three in the box, and the fourth one has been on the line for 20 minutes, and pulls the hook at the boat.

The rest of the day is spent watching other boats pick off a tuna now and then, but we only had a couple of knockdowns, and two pull offs.

At 2:00pm we find a school of tuna on the surface pushing bait. Worked the school with only one other boat, and hooked something big that took a lot of line, then cut the line clean.

Left at 3:30pm with the fleet working the school, but I didn't hear of any hookups.

Just a pretty day on the water, and almost flat calm.

had a great time today, nothing better than running out and back at 32kts. in calm seas. first time ive seen all baits in the spread get hit including the teasers getting hammered several times. the charter boat top notch sure was putting on a clinic on the tuna and even called us over to a school pushing bait.
