    Default Anyone Found the Spot?

I'm heading out today looking for some bait for live lining. Have the spot arrived N of the bridge?

I run out of the Bodkin and went to Hackets today to fill up my bait pen. BUT, there is a post on the Chesapeake board that says someone cought spot and perch at Bodkin point between the clam line markers and the channel. I can't verify the info yet; but I will try within the next few days. 5th (Marty)

    Default 5th That was me

Last night about 2 dozen spot and perch....

Left the bodkin followed the clam line down about 3 to 4 markers....Setup between the line and the channel....

Drifted with the tide....between about 5 - 9 feet depth was the best....Out about an hour and a half....using, of all things, nightcrawlers....the fish ignored the peelers, squid, and clams...

Might not be the best spot but I have been out for an hour or so for about 5 or 6 nights over the past few weeks and I have had more success there with spot and perch than the knolls, belvadere, and pod. point....

garlien; thanks for posting!!! I come out of the back creek side of the bodkin at shipley's marina. I will save gas by looking close to home for spot. What were the size? big or small? Did you have to go through a lot of perch to get a few spot? Even at hackets, i only got 1 spot for every five perch. I have a 22 ft wa angler with hard top. If you see me out there, say Hi. 5th (Marty)

Default Had some luck on both sides of the

channel out of the bodkin.....many more perch than spot though....they seem to be slowly picking up but have not really had too much luck with them yet...At least that is the way it seemed last week....Spent a short while out Sunday morning, hour or so and landed about 25 fish, the majority were perch with about every 3rd one being a spot and every fourth being stripers on the small side.....

Garlien; I found some in the bodkin creek channel in the six mile zone. Also hit the mother load of small (3-4 inch) croaker. I know you can't use them for bait, but they sure steal your bait. 5th
