    Default Where to keep Boat....Deltaville

    Hey Guys!

I'm planning on bringing my boat down as soon as my mechanic gets to checking out my outdrive, sometime around the first week in July. I'm coming down from Breezy Point to Deltaville, the mouth of the Rapp. for a month or two, maybe forever! I'm interested in fishing for Cobia, Spades, Flounder, Trout and Spanish.

Can anyone recommend a marina in that area I can keep my boat for a couple months. I have a 25' Wellcraft Walkaround and I'd need a slip. Any idea on costs? Also, any advice on the fishing would be greatly appreciated too. What VHF channel are you guys on? How about the best tackle shop in that area. I'm sorry, I have alot of questions. I can't wait to get down there and do some real fishing. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Greg.

I keep mine in the Boatel at Norview, but I would assume that they will have a wet slip available. Can't comment on the relative cost, but will say that the folks at Norview are helpful and nice, and that the marina is fisherman-friendly.

Queens Creek is a very good tackle shop. At the intersection of Rt 3 and 198 in Cobbs Creek about 15 minutes from D-Ville

Thanks for the info guys. Norview looks like it will work for us. 3 hour drive from here though, but that's about what I expected. Anyone know of any good hotels in that area or along the way?

Cheapest gas in the area is at Walden Bros. Marina & I believe you can get a slip there as well. I dunno if they have any permanent slips or not but I'm sure they can putcha up for a month or two. Costas is a good guy & pretty easy to work with. JW's ir right up the road (5 min) & has everything you need in the way of tackle.
