Just thought i'd ask. I'll be up around the waterview area. Has anyone had any luck with the flounder this year??? Thanks good fishing

I heard of two caught last year near Mosquito Point. Some years ago Windmill Pt. area was hot with cobes and there have been sporadic reports of guys hooking them incidentally at the the light.

My neighbor said he saw one cruising last week off Belle Isle. He didn't have anything but croaker rigs though.

I've also heard that "back in the day" they would spawn in the creeks all the way up to Tappahannock.

Caught one about 27 inches in the Piankatank near Gwynns Island 7 years ago.

My wife hooked a nice one with an ultralight rod at windmill light a few years back, we never had a chance of getting it in the boat but it put on a good ariel show while it was hooked up.

I have occassionally seen them in the Towles Point area, but never caught one. Have caught a couple of small cobia in the peeler pots when I used to crab.
