    Default Hambone 6/28

Ran out to the Bone to try the BFT got out a little late@8 and set out the usual bars, cedars, and ballyhoo wwwb. First fish in about half an hour BFT @50 lbs which we proceed to knock off at the boat. Shortly after we hook a gaffer on a bar and into the box he goes.
Next we get a double on a bar and a single cedar, first fish is a 44lb bft and second is a bluefish on the bar. In a few minutes we get another bluefish and I start to get worried. Luckily this was the last blue of the trip. We trolled @ the bone for a while and finally the wwwb goes off, fish comes to the boat pretty easily and then takes off making me think here is my over and I was right we get him to the boat and get a gaf in then another and 92lbs of bft comes over the gunwhale. We were planning a short day so at this point we were about done. Sounded like all the charters had their under but were having problems getting their over so I guess we got lucky. Thanks again to Chris from Alltackle for hopping on the boat with 30 minutes notice so I didn't have to go alone.

Nice job! How were the seas and what time did you come in? I was cutting up and re-rigging spreader bars all day, but wishing I had gone fishing instead.

Not bad for a 2 man crew.

Getting the over is always a plus, unders are alot easier

    Jim,
the ride out was nice with very little wind the ride back @12was alittle rougher with 5 footers and wind blowing the spray into the boat.
