    Default 3rd & 4th Flounder

Fished 6/28 with live bait over the tubes. Tough day fighting wind and tide, but ended the day with 7 keepers and a lot of shorts, 5 rays, a massive toad, and small sea bass. Two fish were in the upper 6# range. Good day on the water.

    Default How?

Can you give me a down and dirty on just how to catch the flounders? I was told that I could use blue fish strips about 3 to 5" long on a flounder rig with 3 to 4oz. weight? I was thinking about given this a try later this week when I try the 3rd and 4th island for spades??? Any sugg. would be appre.

    Thanks....

he alraedy told you !! LIVE BAIT LIVE BAIT LIVE BAIT.........Last 3 trips we went we caught 3 dozen fish on squid and cut bait (bluefish)......you will catch lost of fish but they wont be keepers. 4 oz wont do it either.Double that to 8 oz min and use LIVE BAIT LIVE BAIT LIVE BAIT ! SPOT IS BEST 4 TO 6 INCHES

Nice Flounder, Way to catch 'Em up.
Note to self - Get 4-6" Spot before you go next time and use as bait.

Fish the slack tide with a three way - 12" drop for sinker, 36" to hook, spend your time getting live spot before you go. Need to stay straight up and down on the tube or you will loose your rig every time. Good luck! Still can't figured out how you can use a 6" spot and catch a 5" sea bass?? Happened several times

Nice catch. Thanks for the tips. What is the most amount of lead you needed?
