I have a pair of 2003 F225's and have not had that problem. The anode are a regular maintenance item.
Anybody ever had this problem.... Have a 225 yami 2005 model 4s....was running rough so took it in to the dealer and one of the zinc plugs on the engine block was leaking onto the coils. Had to replace coils, plugs, wires.Needless to say it was quite a bill. Yamaha doesn't warranty the corrosion stuff. Dealer said he checked around and this is the only reported case they've ever seen. Writing Yamaha as this seems like a manufacturing
defect to me and should be covered by the waranty.... Just looking to see if anybody else out there had this problem......Thanks for thr help

Sounds very interesting. Do you have a picture of where these zinc plugs are located? Or, maybe a location. Thanks..
There are four anodes located just inboard of the sparkplugs.
Yeah....it turns out the seals corroded off and aloud some leakage .... dealer promised to look at this more closely on maintanance visits....
oh yeah...dealer also said ishould be putting in ring free in my gas.....as gas wasn't expensive enough...that stuff aint cheap
Try using Startron fuel additive instead of Ring Free. Same stuff but a little cheaper.
