I dont think age is an issue as much as reliability. If they are well maitained motorsand run well thats all that matters. Martin

OK, I'll bite. Single 1990 Johnson 300GT V-8, up until 2006. Never missed a beat, never let us down, but oh boy did it drink gas!

fished w/ 93 merc 175 for 12 yrs never had a issue

21 years old. Up until 2005 I ran my 1984 Johnson 150 hp out of OI and OC. The biggest issue I ever had offshore was the fuel pump stopped working once on the way in about 14 miles out of OI. I pumped the ball for 14 miles but made it in.
