Kicker Installation

Any recommendations on make and model as well as a location to have a kicker installed in vicinity of Hampton, Newport News, Yorktown? I've got a Wellcraft Excel 23 WA with a 200 MERC and am thinking about a 9.9 MERC, but I am being told that might night be enough this fall hunting rockfish.

I have a 23ft CC SeaOx and normally run a 15hp Evinrude with no problem, Long story short I don't have the 15 anymore and tried a 9.9, it did the job but pretty much ran wide open to do it!! Hope that helps. Both engines were old if that makes a difference.
