    Default JOHNSON Motor Trouble

I have a 35hp Johnson that runs great... but when you get to about half of tank of fuel it begins to just cut off then it will restart each time..I am running a trotline at idle speed and has never cut off while running at higher speeds but the problem is very annoying gotta keep restarting motor. The motor is 2 stroke not sure it does have a new water separator.
    ANY IDEAS OR SUGGESTIONS???

Check the fuel line inside the tank. Sounds like you might be getting air in the line. I had a line crack so it would run at full throttle, but stall at lower speeds.

Probably an air leak in a fuel line or it's time for new fuel pump. Both are easy and cheap to fix.

All good points, might want to run some carbon guard with the gas. On older motors if the rings are getting carboned up it will not seal as well leading to poor crankcase vacuum at low RPM's, which is what powers the fuel pump.
