Use a wax/cleaner combo, I use the 3m brand. You can get it at wal-mart. I've also used various other brands from boater's world. Don't use harsh cleaners throughout the season on your boat, will strip the wax.

Collinite Cleaner followed by a good coat of Collinite Fleet Wax. If the Cleaner doesn't remove the chalkiness you may have to resort to compounding or even wet sanding.

I think I am going to try this route.

    Collonite

Now if I am understanding this correct I wan to use the 935 first. Now as far as fleet wax, do i want to use the 870 or 885??

    Thanks fellas!

I also plan to coat the bottom well. I think that and my prop having a few dings is really dragging my speed down. I was only getting 41 mph at 5000 RPM...Used to get 51!

    885. The 870 goes on and off easier but the paste lasts better. Do not try to do this is the sun. It will bake on and you'll have to wet it with water to get it off and it will make a huge mess. A high speed buffer is the easiest way to apply and remove it. The 845 does a great job on plexiglass and the 850 is a great metal polish that won't make you rub all day. You can find it on Ebay with free shipping and some offer additional discounts when you order more than one bottle.
