I know this board has suffered a slow and agonizing death the last 3-4 months, but there has got to be some passion left in some of you ole farts (def: fart - anyone older than me - 55).

Not being all that familiar with cats, I just assumed that the lack of postings here was an indication that there wasn't much to catch this time of year.

I have been trying to keep it interesting.. lots of posts. At least we got the Deltaville CCA to look forward too last year.. Ha Ha..

The Potomac will kick back in around Late Sept for cats..

Here is the link to the VCA site which is hosting the event. Jordan Point marina will be closed to the public on Saturday and there will be limited parking at Hopewell b/c of a big weekend long Boat poker run which is starting Saturday morning.
2008 ECCC

Capt Mike the cats up there are starting to get good right now. I jus won a Catfish nation Tourny up there a few weeks ago with a 49&34.. Was kinda slow that night with three other fish in the 30's and a 28.

Not much on the all night fishing personally. I like to get my 5 or 6 hrs in the Darth Vader Sleep Chamber so I can rule the Galaxy next day..

In the fall as the bite comes back to daylight I will be on them like fleas on a dog.

Been fishing alot lately but had no idea this tourney was even happening.I havent been on this site in a while .I am going to call my Partner and see what he says about fishing in it .All we knew about was the JRCC next week !

They are biting in the DGap area Joe is right .

We been catching good numbers but not very big ones until very recently .

you know what Mike, you are right. It has not been promoted very well. After reading the VCA board it seems the VCA is using it as a regular tourney as well. Just like when we have a JRCC tourney and count points, they are using it as a point tourney for their club. I do hope this does not slow the "whole process" down too much. It might get a bit confusing as far as "recordkeeping" on their end goes. I'm just going to fish and win it and go back home in the AC. See ya. Capt.
