Fished ocean side of cape henry for spanish and slayed them saturday. Did have one king like run which smoked the reel (TLD 15) for about 20-30 seconds before the spoon was bitten off...maybe it was a king?
Been in FLA for a week with dad...hoped to come back to reports of Kings being caught...any reports? Anyone fishing for them?

I caught a cow nose ray two weeks ago that went for a Clark-00 spoon - you never know.
It was not snagged.
Trolling for Spanish at sand bridge with two lines out... Had the far one with a plug... and wouldn't you know it a King just 1000 yrds north of the pier hit and hit hard, (like always) only a 30 incher, but fun nun the less. Ended the day with about 25 nice size Spanich Macks and let the king go for another day.... Water temp was 77.8 yesterday and trolled at 6 knts.
Yep...bud of mine that runs charters told me he had several reel burning runs off cownose rays at the cape this past week that were not foul hooked. He couldnt believe the speed at which these things smoked the reel and thought for sure he had a king.
rays were all over the place yesterday and saw a few undersized cobes swimming with them.
