A filter will help for later, but try adding a heavy dose of Seafoam to the next tank of gas. The jets could be dirty or there's some small pieces of crud in the fuel bowl.
I have a 50 2 Stroke Yami that just started bogging down every once in a while when I try and hop up on plane. It is not bad and runs just fine once I get on plane. I am going to dump my gas and add a Racor.
Anything else I should try before I take it my service guy to look at the carbs? I would like to avoid rebuolding the carbs if possible.
Am I running a risk of doing further damage by running it again? Someone told me I could lose a cylinder if it runs lean for too long.
Thanks for any advice you can give me.

We have one that did the exact same thing. Clean the carbs!

Try to avoid using gas with ethanol 10 . . . . unless you have a fuel / water separating filter.
clean carbs
Bob H. Has the truth, this stuff does miracles. Even after I go thru carbs I run a stiff mix just to clean what I may have missed. GREAT STUFF!
