Ocean City NJ information

Folks-

I will be spending a week in Ocean City NJ in August and was hoping for any tips that anyone here might have. I tried posting on the NJ board but they get a post there about every two weeks and nobody has responded at all. So, I will go with the regulars from the good old NNK.

Are there places where someone can fish the surf? Is there access to the back bays? IF I were to transport my boat there, is there anyplace to berth it for a week or a good ramp? I am hesitant to keep it on a trailer as the town is quite congested so I would prefer a rental slip if available.
