Mullet for largemouth?

I caught some beautiful mullet yesterday in a salty march and was thinking about introducing them to some largemouth bass. I've seen mullet in brackish water that has very little salt so they should last long enough to get eaten. Anyone every try this? I may have a report tonight if it works or not.

It worked. The lake was very cloudy so the bite was way off but I still caught one small largemouth on a live mullet. I kept the bait in the bucket using a bubbler with creek water. The first bait lived for 20 minutes in the fresh water - no bites and about 6 casts. I slow trolled it til it gave up the fight then put a fresh one on that was smaller and within 5 minutes had a fish on. 5/0 circle - no weight.
