Default Eating Crabs Can Be Dangerous

Got a nice bushel of crabs yesterday morning.......came home and iced them down for the evening steaming. After steaming the first batch, my wife and I sat down in the family room and started to dig in. After eating four of them I needed another beer...so off I went to the refrigerator, on the way back into the family room I banged my left little toe on the door frame..............down I went, saved the beer, but when I looked at my little toe it was now on a 45 degree angle turned away from the rest of the toes. My wife and I packed up the crabs, left a note for our young adult children, iced the rest on the unsteamed crabs down, and off we went to GBMC. Toe x-rayed, etc. was broken ....taped and put in a boot shoe. Told to see an orth. Dr. within the next 5 days. Got back 2 1/2 hours later ....only to steam up the rest of the crabs. Originally I was supposed to fish today in eastern bay, but had to canceal that as well.

If it weren't for those crabs my toe would not have gotten broken.................

So watch out for those steamed crabs.

Good plan- blame the crabs, never the beer .
What could be more mundane than dying of old age or of natural causes when there is death by misadventure to be pursued ? Skip

Goes to show that you should always wear shoes when messin' with crabs!

I'll drink a beer in hopes you'll have a speedy recovery.

Aye lad, to blame the beer would be considered blasphemy.

    Default Pain

Currently laying on the sofa with my foot propped up and icing..............also drinking a beer. See a specialist on Friday AM to see if the 45 degree bend can be fixed............right now the toe is tapped to two other toes...................I intend to eat some more crabs latter tonight. and take a few more of those pain pills.

Call a toe truck and see me in the morning. If you hadn't stubbed your toe....something much worse would have happened. Hope you feel better Gary

    Default Crabs

Stumpknocker, actually caught the crabs up at this end of the bay. I was supposed to link up with Frank in Eastern Bay today and fish for croaker................that did not happen.
