Flounder Fishing--8/1 w/pics

Today me and Dad were heading out to give the Flounder a try. Met Craig at the boat around 6:30 and headed on out to the CBBT. Goal today was to target Flounder with some live bait and that we did!! Fished the first spot where there wasn't as much tide and on our first drops we started catching fish, caught a few nice ones there and Craig wanted to try another spot for maybe a few bigger ones. We make another move, tide was still running a good little bit, we gave it a try and the fish were there!! Had to work for them but as the tide broke down and went to slack we caught some real nice fish!! We even landed a triple hook-up on Flounder and all 3 were keepers....I hooked up on one, Craig hooks up on one so Dad is the net man. He comes over to net Craig's fish and he had left his rod in the holder and we look over and his rod is doubled over. Pretty cool to land triple on flounder. Ended up the day with 11 keepers out of 18 fish up to 6lbs. We headed back in to Lynnhaven stopped at Bubba's for some lunch and drinks. By this time it was around 2 or so and Craig said he was going to catch some bait for the next couple of days. Dad and I thought to ourselves, well by the time we get back to the marina, load up and head towards Hampton we will be right in the middle of Friday traffic so we decided to help Craig catch some bait, why not. We spent the next few hours catching bait and bsing Headed back around 7 with no traffic. It was a good day of fishing!!









Alot of friends and family received fresh flounder today :)
