    Question V-hull or Tri-hull???

I'm looking to get my hands on a small boat (14-16 foot) for fishing the Chesapeake and the surrounding rivers. My boating experience is pretty limited, so what would be a better boat style for fishing the Bay?

    I don't think there is a deep V in a 14-16' but a modify V maybe.

It willn't really matter if its a deep v or a mod. Your going to get beat in either way with a 14-16' boat on the Bay.

The term "good eatin size" is generally used by those that catch small fish.

So V-hull is the way to go then.... I was told a Tri-hull would be very stable, but a rougher ride. I don't plan on being on the Bay frequently.... so I'd pick my days (weather wise) pretty carefully..... because I didnt expect a 14-16ft boat to be able to handle everything the Bay can throw at a boat. Up around the Magothy and Gibbson Island, maybe The Baybridge, is where I would be fishing.... A smaller boat is what I need because I dont have much room to keep a boat in the yard, and, not looking to spend alot on a boat because I'm trying to spend alot on a house

Any safe boat you find that will get you out there will do if you pick you days.
