I am looking for places to fish the Upper Potomac(UP) in a 17' jon with a 50 hp 4 stroke conventioanal motor. I have wade fished a number of places over the years but am not sure what stretches will allow for a boat like mine to not have the motor destroyed by rocks. I fished above the Senaca breaks Sunday and the boat and motor did fine, in spite of the apparent imminent threat of the motor becoming clogged with the millions of weeds growing in this stretch fo the river. Any suggestions as to put ins that would suit the boat and allow for catching bluegills and smallies?
