    Default Transducer help?

I am getting ready to add a Garmin 4010 chartplotter/fishfinder to our 29 foot boat. There are so many different transducer options, I don't even know where to begin. I do know I want a thru hull and will use it primarily for fishing. Any words of wisdom, especially from anyone who has one of these units on their boat?

Airmar b60 if you are in the Chesapeake Bay, b164 if you are in deep water (like the Atlantic Ocean).

The term "good eatin size" is generally used by those that catch small fish.

save yourself the hassel of a through hull and garmin alltogether, go with a lowrance or eagle, hummingbird will corrode easily and give you more headaches. the thru hulls unless you have a good spot to put one down and youve allready baught the garmin then go with the b60 and or the b164.
