    Default Man, am I fiending

My Boat has been in the shop the whole summer, no exaggeration, 2006 250 Yamaha with 130 hrs and poof, on the way back from the tower in May, before the spades started biting, I know because the only reason I went home with fish is because the diver speared me a few. She has been in the shop ever since, big scare too, because everyone I talked to said Yamaha would blame it on something I did or didn't do. Well it looks like God was on my side because the word is it will be covered. Turned out to be the number 5 cylinder. All I know is I can't wait to get out there and wet a line. Save some fish for me.

Sounds like the shop you took it to is flat on their arse. I have a 2006 Yamaha F250 and my lower unit went out. Bill Marine in Portsmouth had me up and running in a week, a brand new lower unit paid for 100% by Yamaha warranty. I'd find it hard to believe that Yamaha has been sitting on your warranty claim since June, a more believable explanation is the shop you took it to didn't take care of you and sat on it this long.

But glad you will be back up soon.

I can tell you the guy I work on the side with is a Yamaha dealer. I help him alot. As far as Yamaha knows he is the only one that fixes the motors beacause they require techs to be certified by them, which is a total crock of $hit because most factory techs don't know half as much as they think they do. Anyway we are so backed up right now with Yamaha warranty claims, most filed by waiting to hear back, if you brought us a major job right now you would not see it back till problally January. Yamaha is not all it has been made out to be in my opinion, seen them try and weisel out of too much stuff.
