Default Question: Freezing raw Rockfish cakes

My family loves the Rockfish cakes and I was thinking of making them up ahead of time and freezing them.My idea was to be able to thaw them and then just a quick 5-7 minute broil. The meat will already be cooked (poached).

    Anyone ever do this ?

    Skip,
    I’m sure it will work.
I freeze Crab meat and Crab Cakes using the Food Saver Vacuum Bags, 6-9 months later I broil the Cakes or make Crab Soup taste great!
Come To Crab Fest and Try some Capt Dale's Cream of Crab Soup (made from frozen crab meat caught this spring).

Freeze them whole after you make them , then bring them back out of the freezer & vacuum seal them, & put back in freezer, just like crabmeat

What RJ recommends works well. The freezing then vacuum sealing. I have also made them and froze them layered in a tupperware container with sheets of waxed paper between the layers. This works well if you go to an event where you'll be serving large quanties of them...
