Nice job guys. Glad to hear there are still some wahoo out there. How are the weeds out there?
Made a last minute decision at 330 yesterday morning. Called Mike (kapoc) and met up at Taylor's and headed out around 530. Made the ride out to the break, slowly between the cape and ches. light but after that it started to smooth out nicely. Fished the break north of the cigar. We had steady action for about 3-4 hours. Picked up 6 mahi, off some boards we found. We also had 2 wahoo on the planer, one 22lb and one 31lb. Broke the handle off one of Mike's reel, so we hand to basically handline in one of the wahoo. Found a spot that looked good for tiles, so we made a few drops and got two bluelines and about 6 sea bass. Headed back in at 25 knots, nice smooth ride back! Beautiful day on the water, glad we made the decision to go in spite of the forecast!

There were some decent sized patches scattered along the break. A lot of scattered weeds, spent a lot of time clearing them off the lines. We didn't have much luck on the weeds though. The 4 or 5 boards we found really made our day.

Thanks again for the invite again mike, it was fun by the way how did you all like the tile??
Not a problem, you are welcome anytime! Just got home a little while ago. Got mahi, wahoo, and tile all over the kitchen packing it all for the freezer. Having some tile tonite, i'll let you know how it turns out.
Thanks for the tip. Mike(kapoc) gave me a recipe to try, so we are going to give that one a shot. I will definitely try steaming some as well. Definitely a lot of work catching them, but if they are as good as everyone says, guess i'll have to start deep dropping some myself!
Tiles are OK....they are not great. Still rather have the palegics, tuna, wahoo, mahi...even seabass and wreckfish are better. Tiles are like the croaker of the deep, good eating but you'd rather have other bay fish like flounder, striper, and cobia than croaker. Of course I'm talking bluelines...goldens are top tier up there with the tuna and wahoo.
