Reports 10/31 & 11/01

Left Lynnhaven boatel a little after 8am on the 31st...tried some casting to the 1st and
2nd island with no results...switched over to wire line trolling and that was the ticket..
picked up our limit of 6 keepers at the second....

Today I went out with a friend on his boat. Left the marina at 8am and headed to the
first and found a slack tide, tried some live bait at both the 1st and 2nd with no luck but didn't have any tide...we went back to the first and finally got some incoming tide and manage to pick up three fish, one small keeper and two others that were over the slot
limit...tried again at the second with live bait but nothing happening...couldn't wire line
the second on account of the toggers....never saw anyone around us catch a fish....
heard some good talk about the third....

never really had a good strong current to work with today...hopefully the outgoing
monday will be a little better....

We trolled for hours around York spit. Marked a lot of bait fish and something bigger at the bottom, but no bites. Radio was pretty quiet and didn't see or hear anyone catching anything. Water was around 59 degrees out there and noticed it was 2 degreees colder at the mouth of the Ware River. Beautiful day to be on the water though......
