Mine works about 2 feet away from the radar. I should say mine "worked" (see other post). I have an LRA-2000 (4kw) and the GPS 3000.
I'm installing a LRA 1500 on my boats tee top. The GPS will be about 2 feet away maybe a little more the radar will be above the GPS by about 10 inches. Should that be okay or should I mount the GPS above the radar Thanks .

Lowrance told me to put it 12" above or below the radar or the radar would take it out, so I put it inside the electronics box. Works fine & its out of the way.
Preferred mounting is above but below will work. 3' minimum seperation is recommended either way. (Thats the from the side distance)I have mine mounted 6" above & 4' away from the closest point the radar swings to it & have had no problems
I'm not trying to hack the thread, but I want to clarify my comment above. My radar and GPS antennas work just fine a little less than 2 feet apart (mounted to the same T-top). My comment above was actually related to a likely defective radar antenna. (I'm sending it in for a free repair since it never worked for more than 30 minutes at a time without shutting off).
I tested my GPS antenna in different positions such as beside and even directly below (underneath the hard-top) and the GPS worked ok.
