I saw this report on NCangler. It is from 11/8 and the guy was fishing from a kayak.

Went out on the Haw Saturday morning from 7:45 to about 11. Had an unbelievable trip. Caught a 4.5 lb bass shortly after arriving. About an hour later had a great fight with a 10+ lb bowfin before he broke me off. That got my heart rate up quite a bit. I retied and the next cast caught an 8 lb bass - the largest I've ever caught. As I made my way back to my truck, I caught another 3.5 lb fish. In total caught 11 fish. All fish came on a 7-inch pumpkinseed power worm.
