Default JRB 1st report of the year for me

Fished in the wind and rain last night. Last of the incoming and did great. Using 6 inch dark color storms on the bottom, caught out limit in a few minutes between 24-28 inch fish. Perfect size for light tackle. Fished in about 30 feet on the down river side of the JRB.

Best part about it was NO one was out there with us.

Hate to give up a great hole but sharing is what it's about.

Yeah, them big ole hogs out there in the bay are great. But them ten pounders on light tackle, right here in the back yard sure is a good thing.

    Thanks for the report.

I think you are better off fishing the HRBT. Bigger fish up to 40" caught there. Thanks for the report & good luck.

dont forget you need a trout permit in addition to the fresh water license to fish the pond. Glad to hear a report from the James

    Jeff,
Glad to see you got out and congrats on a quick limit. I've heard the bite is decent north of the bridge on the troll on the edge of the channel, but I've not fished it at all. Hope all is well with you and your family.
