Specks and Drum

Went down to the coast with my uncle for the weekend. Saturday, we looked around a few different places for fish and ended up at the Cape Lookout jetty with everybody else and their brother. We got around 30 specks there in about an hour and a half.

Sunday we went looking for a bluefin with the Fight N Lady out of MHC and were not lucky enough to get a fish. Towards the end of the day we did come across a big whale.

Monday we fished the Neuse. We got into the red drum and caught around 40 of them averaging 16-17 inches. They were great on light tackle, especially the 28 incher my uncle got. I finished a slam with a short flounder and a nice fat trout.

All in all, it was a great weekend.

Sounds like a good trip even if everybody brought their brother & their "uncle"
