Default Learning More About Striped Bass

I have a great 20 plus page article produced a few years ago by Md DNR, and I can't find it on their web site. It describes life of rockfish in the bay from spawning through their entire lives, where they go, what they eat, and more. There is also a table that shows age/length/weight for both male and female. Those 50 lb fish some catch are over 30 yrs old. And those fish are the most productive spawners. But hey, If I am ever lucky enough to catch one its not going back in the water.

It also explains bay-ocean migrations, what fish stay in the bay, where they generally go, and most important...why.

If you send me an email I'll mail you a copy of the article, again, its over 20 pages.

    Mike,

You may want to ask Brandon if he would post the report on the site, he may need to break it up to reduce the size.

Sounds like a good read now that the season is over.
