Nice post. Glad you guys got on some fish.
Nice calm seas, too.
Did you manage to get out yesterday?
Went fishing with my friend Frank on Saturday to do some light jigging at the CBBT. We left the wives home with the kids and an approaching snowstorm. Frank lives up in Hazelton, PA where they were forecasting up to 12 inches. So he gave her a lesson on how to operate the snowblower and we headed south. We arrived at the Kipto ramp to a sunny sky and a flat bay.
Motored out just south of the Nine Foot Shoal and found some birds, but they were all laying down ...
It didn't take long to find the fish stacked up close to the pilings. Caught all the fish we wanted. Most fish were in the 27~31" range. Here I am with a 30" ~ 11lb fish ...
And Frank with a typical CCBT football ...
Around 2:30~3:00 the wind started picking up so we went down to the north side of the 4th island to find working birds between the spans. Fishfinder showed stacked fish throughout. Our BKDs got slammed as soon as it hit the water. Towards evening the winds calmed down and we cruised back to Kipto with a nice sunset behind us.
It was a great day on the water and best of all ... Franks driveway was cleared when he got home.![]()

Chip, No we headed back on Sunday morning. Wind was howling and temp was dropping fast. We cleanup up the boat real good, then headed back. Stopped in Dover to watch the first half of the Eagles game. Wish I could go down with you this week ... tomorrow looks to be a perfect day.
