I had a volkswagen from 2000 to 2003. It was a reliable car with few problems, but the problems it did have and maintenance were pretty expensive to fix.
Since I did not go fishing today my wife and I did a little car browsing.
Looked at a Honda Accord and in the same lot there was a Volkswagen dealer.
We saw the new VW CC parked on the corner of the VW's building so when the salesman
pulled the Accord up to test drive I had him pull it nose to nose with the Accord for a
comparison. Test drove both with the VW being a few more $'s. Nice ride but I don't know
much about VW's and the overall ownership experience.
So, the question is: does anyone own a VW CC? Good, bad or indifferent? If no one owns a CC what about other VW's and would you own another one?
Thanks in advance,
Kevin

Can't speak to the VW, but I'm on my 3rd Accord. Sold the last two at 210K+ miles. This one is at 176K and runs like a sewing machine. Very few repairs in all that mileage, despite less-than-regular maintenance. I'd be hard pressed to buy anything else.
I've know two people with Jettas. Both were nice at first but fell apart after a few years. One was purchased new and the other used.
Funny - I was just looking at the CC online tonight. I like the lines and no charge scheduled maintenance for 3 years. There are some good deals on 08 cars and trucks right now. I might look at an 08' Land Rover LR3 ~ 38K That's close to 14K below MSRP. Maybe I'll just go to Canada and buy 38K worth of gold and buy a new car in couple years.
Owned a Jetta Diesel for five years. The vehicle did not hold up well, and the cost of maintenance and repairs more than negated the fuel savings of a diesel. I will not buy another VW.
use to work on vw at two dealers.....would NEVER buy one.
buy accord.
Volkswagon Center Console? Never heard of a CC.
CC is a great looking car, but VW and Audi have had some serious reliability problems. Particularly electrical. I've heard Audi, and thus I would assume VW have improved in this area in the last year or two, but a Honda is a Honda. They will go forever, and that new accord is pretty nice looking too. I'd go for the known quantity in the Honda. VW's track record coupled with a 1st model year car just seems like a recipe for a headache.
