C-note, the mate was using 200 pound fluoro on the leaders with Sea Witches and large ballyhoo. Color didn't seem to matter, but there was a lot of purple and pink and blue and white. The fish were on the break about 20 miles south east from HI (The OI boats are running to HI) You know that conditions change from day to day out of HI, it's a crap shoot. Look on Rutgers for the break over the 100 fathom or the rockpiles. We caught most of the fish in 73 degree water, but the day before Jim found them in 66 degrees. He said that the tuna wanted to be in the warmest water with the least current. The week before we fished off the Rockpile. On Saturday, he said there was no current, on Sunday we had 4 knots. That place is crazy. Good luck.

    Thumbs up Marlin Mania

As mentioend earlier a crew of 4 from Central VA Sport Fishing went with Jim on Monday and reeled in 9 before their arms fell off and they cried uncle. Nice problem to have!!!!

All fish were around 120-150 lbs.
