    Thumbs up Youth Day Spring Turkey Info

    Youth day hunt (4/4/09) is now 1/2 hour before sunrise to sunset in Va. Just passing this along. Great move by the VDGIF to give the youngsters that extra chance. The weather the past few years has been far from ideal in the morning only to be followed by sunshine from noon on..

    A GREAT way to get the youth involved! I'm taking a 10 year old boy who's parents just split. I figured this will give him something to smile about. He's had a pretty rough go of it for the last year. Now all I need is for the birds to cooperate.

    Be sure to let the youngster do the shooting. They caught a guy last year that took the kid but the old man did the shooting.
