The Northern Neck Anglers Club will have its first members meeting of 2009 on Saturday April 25th in the Heathsville Library at 7:00PM. After a short business session we will review the angling outlines for the Trophy Rockfish Tournament and the Rock-A-Thon Tournament. The speaker for the evening will be Club Member Ken Chaffin. Ken is a very expetienced Rockfish angler who's team won the Trophy Rockfish Tournament last year. He has quite a lot of 'Local Knowledge' about fishing the Potomac and the Maryland Bay. Ken will give you some hints on where to go, what to use, and how to fish for Rockfish for these two tournaments.
The second members meeting will be held in the Kilmarnock Library at 7:00PM on Saturday June 6th. At that meeting we will review the angling outlines for the Target Ship Shoot Out Tournament and the Flounder Bash Tournament. The speaker for this meeting will be Capt. Frank Brewer, AKA T-Bear on TidalFish, who is also a member of the NNAC. Frank is a Flounder specialist who fishes for them from the Rappahannock to the CBBT and on the Eastern Shore. Besides that Frank knows a lot about catching Rockfish, Blues, and Croaker too.
Both speaker will demonstrate some of the tackle and rigs they use to catch these popular species. The meetings are free and open to Club members and any other interested persons. Come join us and get to know a few more angling techniques.

Mario, the dues are $25 per year. For that you get to fish all the tournaments free. You also get to come to all of the meetings, Club picnic, and other possible Club activities free. If you have a child or grand child under age 18, he or she can be a youth member free. Besides that a few businesses give members a discount on tackle and other items purchased in their stores. All in all a good deal. Come to the meeting and get to see what we do. Dave
P.S. If you click on the site that was posted above you will find some additional information and an application form. D.
Capt. Dave,
I will not be in town on April 25th. Will be in Hatteras trying to catch me a big old Red Drum. Would love to hear what Ken has to say.
LBubba
Bubba, if you have a recorder bring it to the BoD meeting and I'll record Ken's talk for you.
