Try the Pickle Factory and the Barge Mooring Buoy.
Going to give the croakers a try in the Rapp on Friday afternoon, taking my brother-in-law who is not a fisherman, and also a little ADHD (not a great combination!). My challenge is to get him on some fish without having to wait too long between bites. Does anybody have any fresh info on croakers in the White Stone area?
Would also like to get him a shot at some C & R rockfish. If anybody knows whether there are enough in the area for me to give them a shot, any help would be appreciated.
I'll report on the good or the bad as soon as I can!

I'd go for what Dave says for the croakers and I would go just down river to the first red marker you come to too look for rocks. There are some nice contours and ledges in there that see to have nice amounts of bait right now. Also try drifting around the pickle factory for some flounder while your at it, Just use a bottom rig with long strips of squid on it. I have caught plenty of throwbacks this time of year in the river. Good luck!

where is the pickle factory ? past the bridge or closer in towards greenvale?
The Pickle Factory is down river a little ways from the bridge on the north side. There are a couple of old rusty looking tanks standing near the shore line there. The barge mooring buoy is a little further down river and also on the north side.
even better would be to run to Corbin Hall or Kilmer's point....stay about 20 yrds outside the crabpot lines and drift until you get into em....them anchor up......for stripers.....i would live bait around the pilons of whitestone brigde.
