Default Cod, Cusk, Haddock, Pollock Headboat in Maine

Last summer I went out twice on the Indian II out of Portland ME and fished deep water. Fishing was excellent and price was reasonable. ($70). On the second trip I split the pool ($50) with a 6 pound Haddock. Its deep drop (over 200 ft) so if you go bring your power pro, mono is useless. If anyone else has Headboat experience in Maine, I'd appreciate a report.

    Hi:
Power pro works, but for me.....I'll take straight Dacron. That stuff will rot out when you break off in a wreck and wont screw up the fishing . Dacron wont stretch and will lay on the reel spool nicely and if you hang up, you wont worry about it cutting into your fingers when you tighten up and try to break it off.

    'Till next time.
Keep your feet dry and catch 'em up!.
