    Default NNAC Reminder

    Remember that the Northern Neck Anglers Club will have a Members Meeting this Saturday April 25th at the Heathsville Library at 7:00pm. There will be a mini-seminar on fishing the first two tournaments. Featured speaker is Ken Chaffin on fishing for trophy Rockfish. All interested persons are welcome at this free event.

    I regretfully am going to miss the meeting. I was looking forward to getting some of Ken's secrets. I'm headed to Hatteras for two days of offshore fishing!

    Default NNAC Meeting on Sat. Night

    Capt. Dave,
    Looking forward to the meeting and Ken's presentation on spring trolling techniques. Planning to fish out of Lewisetta on Monday with John. There should be some "catching" reports for the Fish Tales part of the meeting. Made my first trip of the year today on another NNAC member's boat out of Smith Point, and we were pleased to get our three person limit at the rate of about a fish every hour. Heard that the bite was faster and the fish bigger farther north than 68-70 area where we fished.

    Capt. Dave, we were after tuna and had a few lines out for billfish. Trip ended mid day Friday with the starbord side engine giving us trouble, so we came back in. Cancelled the Saturday trip and came home late Friday night. Beautiful boat! A 61 foot Blackwell with twin 1000 hp engines. How was the meeting?

    Mushy, I guess the meeting went quite well. Several of the members said it was a good one. Ken covered trolling for the trophy Rockfish and then I covered chumming for the school fish and fishing for Croakers. Turn out was pretty good. Sorry you missed it. Dave
