    Well for all you doubters...the Dude finally scored on a big bird Saturday - 25 lbs, 7 1/4 in beard & 3/4 spurs. It has taken quite a while but I guess even a blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then[grin]

    I didn't know dressed birds from Kroger came with the beard and spurs. HA HA!!!!

    Well Larry dude if you pay them enough they do[wink].

    Get this though.....the old man couldnt be out done. I heard him shoot about 7:20. I shot mine at 7:40. He calls me on the radio and asked if I shot. I said YEP! Then I asked if that was him earlier. He said...yeah it was! Then he chimed back and asked these now famous words in our family..."How many did you get?"

    That rascal got 2 with 1 shot!.

    These were both of our 1st birds. Mom said he has been 20 minutes ahead of me since 1968[grin]
