Default Is the Truxton Park boat ramp open yet?

Anyone know if the Truxton Park boat ramp in Annapolis has been reopened, what it will cost, and how it will be set up? Will it have a similar setup like Sandy Point with a gate at the entrance? Thanks

Yep I live right near there and walk the dogs in that park almost every day. People were launching as of last week. The circle and ramp are re-open but they are still working on the astethics of the beach area. The whole area looks much nicer then before, now if they cold only do something about the hispanic guys that love to drink, smoke weed, and poop in the woods the place would really be taking a step in the right direction.

I just called the Parks and Recreation # at 410 263-7958. The boat ramps are open as of this past Saturday. The boat launch is free until June 1st. Then it will be a $5.00 fee by charge card only.

It looks like they did a really nice job on the renovations. A flier I read over there said Fee collection machine will be installed June 1st and launching is free until then. Also something about an annual pass i couldn't read.

Does anyone know about the rules for coming back in after dark? The sign says park is closed from sunset to sunrise, no overnight parking, etc.

I have no idea how they are gonna regulate the closed after dark deal because there are no gates or the such BUT a word to the wise. I wouldn't have my car parked there after dark if you value any//all belongings in your vehicle or your windows. As I said in my first post the ramp is nice but the riff raff is what really needed to be cleaned up and it is most certainly not.

Cuz1can - thanks for the pics, those signs have always been there. I've gotten back there well after dark and well before daylight and have never had a problem, luckily, but I know what Big E is talking about and would be leary about leaving a vehicle there all night. I was told that they would be offering a season pass to the ramp, but didn't know what it would cost yet.

I know this thread is old but can you pay the fee in the morning at the ramp?
