    Default Spearfishing the Lower Keys

    Hi All,

I will be vacationing in the Cudjoe Key in June. Hope to do alot of diving and spearfishing. Is the triangular area formed by Pelican Shoal, Maryland Shoal, and West Washerwoman open for recreational spearfishing? Its hard to tell where Sanctuary water stops and fishable water begins.

    Thanks in advance.

Thanks Capt Bill. From the NOAA Chart, that area looks promising? By the way, I hear you are an Anne Arundel County boy. I went to Glen Burnie High and my dad grew up on Solley road.

    Default Hammerhead

There is a large hammerhead that apparently likes to cruise the area around the "ledge". Yikes. Also hate it when a nice fish on a float bag never makes it to the boat. Oh well cudas gotta eat too I guess. Overall great time diving / spearfishing.
