OFF HAMPTON -- The two people were rescued from their sinking boat Monday afternoon.
PA2 Nathan Henise told WVEC.com that a Good Samaritan picked them up and their 50-foot vessel was being towed by a commercial salvage company.
The Hampton Fire Department say its boat also responded to the scene at Thimble Shoals, but its assistance wasn't needed.
It's the fourth situation in three days that the Coast Guard's be called out to help.
The search continues for a 58-year-old man who fell overboard near the first island of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel.
Authorities say he was in a 25-foot pleasure craft and wasn't wearing a life jacket.
He went overboard around 10:00 p.m. Sunday.
